Future Projects
University Recreation Complex Project
In March of 2003 the University of Minnesota Board of Regents approved the concept plan for improvements to the University Recreation Complex. The plan calls for a possible renovation of Cooke Hall and an expansion of the University Recreation Center. The expansion will include additional fitness space and gymnasiums, a climbing facility, and a new deli/restaurant. We are currently moving toward the design phase of this project.
University Park
The University of Minnesota Board of Regents approved the concept plan for University Park in 2002. The Park is being completed in cooperation with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics on the north side of the East Bank campus. Concept plans include: Outdoor Volleyball Courts, Outdoor Tennis Courts, Walking Paths, Multi-Use Field Space, Softball/Flag Football Fields, Hammerthrow, Support Facilities, Green Space, Pond Area, New baseball field.
