The Aquatic Program offers a variety of aquatic-based activities for its members. The purpose is to provide high-quality experiences that meet the educational, recreational and competitive goals of University students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
In addition to regularly scheduled open lap swim, Aquatics offers a wide variety of activities for members. The Learn to Swim program offers swimming lessons to teach basic water safety skills and information. The Twin Cities Swim Team is a comprehensive swim program ranging from the beginner to the Olympic level. Finally, Water Aerobics offers basic water fitness for swimmers of various levels. The Department of Recreational Sports will be offering American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification classes this spring and summer. Completion of classes will enable participants to gain certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR/AED/First Aid. Class offerings are listed below:
