Private and Semi-Private Lessons

Private Lessons

Private lessons are a great way for children to receive personalized instruction. Individual classes allow the instructor to focus on specific skills based on each participant’s needs. Private lessons are also a popular choice for adults with busy schedules.

Private Lessons are available through the Learn to Swim Program. If you are interested, call the Learn to Swim office at 612-625-3794 to enroll. Our offices will match each participant with one of our swim instructors to fit both your schedule and needs. The lessons are then individually arranged with the instructor and can be held on either the St. Paul or Minneapolis campus. These classes are available to all and are generally 30 minutes in length. Be aware that there may be a waiting period depending on the volume of lessons.

Before your first lesson, passes must be purchased at the front desk of the University Recreation Center or St. Paul Gym to verify payment. They are available at the cost of $54 for 3-30 minute lessons, with each additional set of three lessons costing $54 (lessons much be purchased in groups of 3).

Semi-Private Lessons

(2 participants, 1 instructor)

Semi-private lessons are also available at the cost of 3-30 minute lessons for $90. These must also be purchased in increments of three.
