1) If this is the first time you have used the Online Registration process you must create a new account. This button is prominent on the registration page. If you enrolled in a previous Learn to Swim or Summer Youth Program you will already have an account in the system. If you have trouble accessing your account or have misplaced your username or password, please call the Learn to Swim or Youth Programs office. Please do not create a duplicate account!
2) You must enter all required information and submit a parent/guardian FIRST as the primary account holder (enter and submit yourself if you are registering for adult classes).
3) To enter additional members of your family, including children registering for classes and/or any additional parents/guardians, click on the “My Account” tab, then click on the “Update Account” button. Clicking on the “Add Client” button will allow you to add additional family members. You can also click on a family member’s “Details” button to add work numbers, cell numbers, alternate addresses, etc.
4) To register for classes, click on the “Programs” tab and search for the class you wish to register for, or reference the class bar code number. Make sure that the individual you are registering appears in the drop-down list of family members. For more information about adding classes please read “how to register for a program” on the FAQ sheet found at the actual registration site.
5) When paying please push the submit button ONE TIME. Some of the processes take time to occur.
6) Once you have completed a transaction, including providing your credit card number, make sure you copy and save the receipt page- this is your receipt and confirmation. If this is your first time using the online registration process, your Login ID and Account PIN will be emailed to the email address you have provided once you have completed the transaction. This information should be emailed to you within a few minutes.
7) Please be aware- many email servers do not recognize our vendor and may send your confirmation email and login information directly to your trash or junk mail. If you do not receive this email, you CANNOT re-enter the site. DO NOT CREATE A SECOND ACCOUNT!!! This will only make things more difficult. If you are unable to retrieve your login information, please call the Learn to Swim or Youth Programs office.
8) Please keep your Login ID and Account PIN number in a memorable and easily accessible location such as on the inside cover of the Learn to Swim Guide. You will not have to create new accounts for subsequent program registrations. Your personal information will be saved, and you may update it online as necessary.
9) Caution- you will not have a Login ID or Account PIN number assigned to you until after you have completed a transaction. If you close prior to purchasing a class, your information will not be saved in the system and you will have to re-enter all the information.
10) If you have trouble or questions at any point, please reference the FAQ page on the registration site or call the Learn to Swim or Youth Programs office at 612-625-3794.
11) After you register, if you would like to purchase a parking permit for lessons, contact the Learn to Swim office at lts@umn.edu or 612-625-3794. All orders must be placed by Thursday following the first day of registration.
