ENTRY LEVEL POSITIONS

Entry level positions are a great way to get started with the Department of Recreational Sports. Although previous experience in related fields is recommended, it is not required for employment. All entry level positions require student employees to be trained in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens. For students that do not already posess these certifications, training will be provided by the deparment upon being hired.
Rental Center Attendant - Minneapolis

Job Description
The Department of Recreational Sports is currently looking for a qualified individual to fill the Rental Center Assistant position. This position will assist in a variety of areas, including, but not limited to:

  • Supervise and execute all transactions and activity within the Center for Outdoor Adventure office 
  • Check outdoor equipment in and out
  • Process trip and clinic registrations
  • Supervise the bouldering wall
  • Maintain and clean all COA rental gear

Job Requirements
All student employees are required to be trained in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens. For students that do not already possess these certifications, training will be provided by the department upon being hired. Other requirements related to the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Currently enrolled as a student of the University of Minnesota Twin – Cities
