St. Paul Gymnasium

Originally opened in 1915, the St. Paul Gymnasium underwent major renovations in 1990 and 1998 to meet the needs of the growing campus community.  Located on the University of Minnesota’s St. Paul Campus, the facility serves approximately 1,000 patrons on an average weekday during the academic year.  In 2002, the St. Paul Gymnasium was named an Outstanding Facility by the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association. 

The St. Paul Gymnasium houses the following:
• 3 fitness areas with state-of-the-art cardio and weight equipment
• Gymnasium
• Suspended track
• Group exercise studio
• Mat room
• Men/women/family locker rooms
• 4 handball/racquetball courts
• 2 multi-purpose rooms
• Shallow water, 8 lane indoor lap pool
• 24 ft. tall indoor rock climbing wall and bouldering "cave"
• Conference room 
• Lounge and corridor spaces

Outdoor Amenities:
• Outdoor track
• Playing field
• Softball field
• Tennis field
