The Intramural program is a great way for members of the University community to engage in friendly competition. Members can compete in individual, partner or team events in a wide range of sports. Opportunities include Intramural Leagues, Special Events and specialized sports such as the University Athletic Leagues and summer Golf Leagues.
The Department of Recreational Sports features a premier venue for competitive Court Sports. Both the University Recreation Center and the St. Paul Gym feature several state-of-the-art court facilities, and the Court Sports program provides varied opportunities for recreational and competitive court sports enthusiasts.

Summer Intramural Sports registration will open on May 1. Registration is now managed completely online. Summer sports available are listed below:
A non-affiliate is a person that has no affiliation with the University of Minnesota. For the summer, intramural non-affiliates are permitted to participate on Co-Rec teams that have paid the $25.00 non-affiliate fee (per player).
The number of non-affiliates allowed per Co-Rec sport roster is 6 for softball and 4 for outdoor soccer. All non-affiliate participants must be at least 18 years of age and paid for by noon on the day of their first game. Non-affiliate members must carry photo identification (driver's license) with them and present the card when checking in to participate or is requested by an Intramural employee.
