Registration Overview

Summer Program Registration is handled through the University of Minnesota Department of Recreational Sports. All camps are first come, first served and must be paid in advance with the required registrations forms. Space is limited and some camps fill quickly.

How do I know when a camp is full?

The online registration function will show the number of available slots left in a camp. This site can be accessed by following the steps below:

• At the bottom of this page, click on "IMPORTANT ONLINE REGISTRATION INFORMATION" to go to online registration information.
• Click on Goldy to go to the online registration site.
• Logging in is not required to view the class information – click on the Programs Tab at the top, or type in the barcode (4 digit number) of the camp in the box provided.

Payment Methods

• VISA, MasterCard, or Discover Card may be used with our online registration process.
• Checks should be made payable to the University of Minnesota.
• Please note that your registration payment includes a $50 non-refundable deposit per camp.

Notifications and Confirmations

• Confirmation of registration is provided immediately with our online registration process.
• Confirmation for hard copy registrations may take up to two weeks.
• Families registering with a paper registration form for classes that are already full will be notified as soon as possible.
• If a camp is full, you will be placed on a waiting list for future openings due to changes or cancellations.
• Wait-listing does not guarantee that your child will get into the class; we recommend signing up for a second choice.
• If your child is on a waiting list, we call or email you if a space opens. You need to respond within 24 hours of the initial contact to confirm, or we will move to the next child on the list.

Waivers

Additional waivers are required for the following camps:

• Metal Arts
• Horsemanship
• Fly Fishing
• SCUBA*
• Sailing
• Rock Climbing I & II

*All waivers are due prior to the start of the camp week that they pertain to.

You can find these forms online by following the Additional Waivers link. If you are unable to access the waivers online, contact our office and a copy will be mailed or faxed (612-625-2242).

*The SCUBA class requires a doctor’s approval before participation. These forms are included with the waivers for SCUBA. Your child will not be able to attend this class without a doctor’s approval.

Cancellations

Camp Cancellations

• Any class not meeting minimum enrollment by 4 p.m. on the Tuesday before it starts will be cancelled and you will be contacted.
• If we must cancel a camp due to insufficient enrollment or any other circumstance beyond our control, we will offer a full refund or issue credit towards another camp.

Individual Cancellations

• Requests for transfers, credits or cancellations must be received in writing three (3) weeks prior to the start of any class to qualify. No verbal or phone requests, please.
• All requests for changes (except additions or cancellations) will be charged a $10 processing fee.
• All requests for cancellations are charged a $50 non-refundable deposit per class. This charge is assessed immediately from the date of registration.
• Cancellations due to medical circumstances will need a doctor’s note and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Paper Registration

Paper registration is available by completing the hard copy registration form. Mail or deliver all forms and fees to:

You may add additional camp weeks later via a mailed, written request with a check for the full payment. Do not send additional registration forms.

Telephone and fax registrations are not accepted.
