Our staffOur Staff

Our staff of qualified and caring instructors and group leaders are ready to discover a memorable summer with your child. The people who work for University Youth Programs are our biggest asset. Their special interest in today's youth and their enthusiasm for activity and education make all our programs fun experiences in fitness and instruction. Our instructors are exceptional teachers and accomplished athletes affiliated with the University or community specialists who bring expertise and enthusiasm to every activity. Our group leaders assist and support instructors to allow for individualized instruction and attention.

University students work as group leaders and program coorindators, bringing diverse backgrounds and experiences in academic disciplines relating to youth and education. All staff are CPR and Standard First Aid certified, have participated in extensive orientation and training programs, and have passed both a Child Protection Act background check and vehicle driving record verification. Our staff members are resourceful activity leaders who understand the importance of fun, sportsmanship and enrichment.

Announcements

University Youth Programs has established a scholarship in memory of Annika Troedsson, a longtime member of the Youth Programs family, who passed away in spring 2008. Annika attended Youth Programs as a camper for several years, worked as a Group Leader for two summers, and planned to return in summer 2008.

In tribute to her memory, the University Youth Programs Scholarship Fund will award at least one family with a scholarship in Annika's name to allow those with limited financial resources to enjoy the fun and benefits of the summer camp program. To make a financial contribution to the University Youth Programs Scholarship Fund, visit the University's online giving website, or call 612-625-5977.
